Our Founder & Principal Director
Geeta Khanna is the Founder & Principal Director of Hirumchi Styling Company and the author of Style of India, the book. Hirumchi Styling Company (HSC) is India's first styling company that was created in 2007. A visionary, her work in fashion spans over 20 years. A prodigy to the west and working closely to 25+ years. From creating editorial content for B2B fashion magazines, to product design development for some of the most established names in the business, HSC has an exhaustive repertoire of knowledge in color, forecasting, art direction and manifestation.
In 2016, her debut as an Author of STYLE OF INDIA, published with Hachette India marks as an important research book that has been a benchmark of interpreting fashion through the lens of Indian culture and art. The book is bought by United Nations India commission in New York, as well as by the Ministry of External Affairs for all Indian consulates across the globe.
A NIFT graduate, she honed her skills at FIT, New York and then by working under Donna Karan, Carlos Campos and Marc Jacobs. A Delhi University graduate, Ms Khanna is from Patiala, Punjab.
HOW IT BEGAN...
She started her journey as a fashion designer under Carlos Campos and eventually transitioned into fashion media and content creation. She assisted Carlos in creating costumes for off broadway show – enchanted April. Besides being part of the Mercedes Benz New York Fashion week with Marc Jacobs.
As the fashion editor of Sportswear International(India Edition) she created new interpretations from denim applications, indigo and performance wear. Her work was noticed by major garment and textile giants of India and west to creating new meaning and fresh interpretations. Her work has been featured across content, conceptual advertisements and display of icons, theatre costumes, legendary faces, and has always been stunning yet relevant.
She has been featured, and her works appeared in magazines such as Indian Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, The Hindu, The Hindustan Times, New Indian Express, Business Standard, Femina, Cosmopolitan India, The L'Officiel—Chile/NY/LA, L'Officiel, RLI Dubai, Times of India, Hindustan Times, amongst other publications

The Style of India' by Geeta Khanna
Her first book Style of India, was launched at the French Embassy and inaugurated by the then French Ambassador to India H.E. Alexandre Zeigler. The book is published by Hachette India. The content of the book seamlessly collaborates with the most prestigious French luxury brands like Chanel, Hermes, Dior, and Jean Paul Gaultier in the book.
Style of India is a work that has both pulse and rare collectable imagery that is never-before-presented. Featuring works of the first Indian fashion designers and Bollywood costume designers who created deep impact in everyday Indian's style quotient. The book was made possible with collaboration of Ms Nidhi Mahajan.
Style of India has been bought by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
The UN office of India in New York and the ICCR. It is displayed at all Indian consulates worldwide.
